Doerun is a small rural southwest Georgia city with a big heart. At first look it may seem small, but a closer look reveals a city ready and able to do its part to grow with its residents and businesses.
The City of Doerun offers a combination of utility services normally only found in larger municipalities. Providing water, power, natural gas, sewage, and/or garbage (contracted) to all residences and businesses within the city limits. It has also assisted community businesses outside the city limits with natural gas and water when mutually advantageous. Doerun also provides police and fire services that are at or above par with comparable cities and are dispatched through Colquitt County's E911 center.
If you have a utility problem contact City Hall during normal business hours at 229.782.5444 and after hours, on the weekend or on a holiday, you can call the after hours on-call utility person at 229.529.4492. Just remember, call 911 first, if there is potential for fire and/or personal injury.
