The Doerun City Council is made up of the Mayor and five ‘at large’ Council Members. Each is elected from qualified city residents and serve 4-year terms. Regular public meetings are normally held on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chambers next door to the City Hall. (See the calendar for possible changes and/or additional information concerning particular months.)
Michael Campbell is the current Mayor of Doerun. He was elected in November of 2017 after stepping down as a serving council member to run. Up until then, he had served as a council member for 26 years. He currently works at City Electric out of Albany, GA.

Chad Kimbrell has been a council member since 2013 and currently serves on the Audit and Human Resources Committees. He works at Proctor and Gamble in Albany, GA.

Judy Coleman has been a council member since 2016 and currently serves on the Audit and Community Service Committees. Ms. Coleman is a retiree from Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, GA.

Jeffery Campbell is a newly elected council member for the city of Doerun beginning in 2024. He is a retired business owner and committed to making a positive contribution in the community. He is focused on giving back to the community and serving the citizens. Jeff and his wife Charla have four children and he has lived in Doerun since 1971.

Mike Blair has been a council member since 2013 and currently serves on the Public Safety and Utilities Committees. Mr. Blair is a retiree from City Electric out of Valdosta, GA.
