The Mayor and City Council of the City of Doerun is providing notice of its intention for the City of Doerun to opt out of the adjusted base year ad valorem homestead exemption created by House Bill 581. This action will not affect any current homestead exemptions that the citizens of the City of Doerun are currently able to use.
All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearings on this matter to be held at the Council Room located at 223 W. Broad Street, Doerun, Georgia 31744 on February 20, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., on February 24, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., and on February 24, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
